I Sported Yellow Today! |
I'm honored that they asked me to make some for the new enrollees in the study. I've been enrolled in the study for 18 years and I have never missed an appointment. Every six months like clockwork I'm there. Learning about how HIV/AIDS manifest in women is important and I'm glad to be a part of the study. I'm equally glad that they recognize the value of my work and are supporting me in this way, through my bracelets.

Building a brand is hard work and I'm no stranger to it one bit. To whom much is given, much is required. I try as best as I can to be the best that I can every single day. I believe that life is such a precious gift and I dare not squander it one bit. I truly believe that God has blessed me so many years with a life living with HIV/AIDS for a reason and I don't have time to waste time.
However, finding a balance has been hard. I've blogged about it often. An over achiever that keeps a break neck schedule with a kick ass illness is not always the best match.
Today after 6 straight hours of work, I took a break. I took a walk down Chicago's Mag Mile and I had lunch with my girlfriend Shanna, it's her birthday. Then I walked back down the Mag Mile home, of course window shopping along the way.
People often ask me what I do to get away from AIDS and the work that I do... I took a moment to share with you in video. As I count down to 50, day 49 I share just a little bit about my private space. BTW, It's way past my bedtime... Nite... Nite... :)
